Farewell Dad & Happy Times....

Yesterday was another extremely tough day for my family and I...we said our farewell to Dad and gave him the send off he more than deserved. The church in the village where we live is on a hill and they had to stop cars going up as the parking was full. The church was packed out...people were even stood outside as they couldn't get in. The vicar said he had never seen anything like it...my Dad was a very popular man and befriend people of all generations. He was born and lived all his life in the village...

Nothing feels real at the moment and its like its all happening to someone else, I am finding myself talking etc and it doesn't even feel like its me.
My Dad was such an amazing person and we are all going to miss him more than words can ever say. He was our rock and our hero....
***************************************
I have been sorting through lots of photo's and remembering happier times...we don't have loads as Dad spent most of the time behind the camera and not in front of it....he loved his photography.
Here's a couple at my 30th birthday party....
Dad and me having a good old boogie...

Dad having a beer with a few friends...

Oh Emma, my heart goes out to you. I wish I could be with you to give you a bit hug. I can imagine it does feel really strange and that it is happening to someone else but it is good that you are looking over old photos as this will help you to focus on the good times. You will have good days and bad but we are all out here for you if you need to talk because you are probably feeling that you cant talk to anyone as you have to be strong for your mum but you also need to grieve yourself.
I am thinking of you and your family and sending lots of prayers your way. Max x
