FUNDRAISING

In Memory Of My Dad...

My Dad died following an accident at work on the 15th September 2009 when a piece of equipment fell on him causing a massive head injury.
He was one of the most amazing people you could ever meet, to us he was a husband, dad, grandad and great grandad.  Our hero and our rock....he was there for us no matter what.
To many he was a friend, he touched the hearts of people both young and old, a very social kind of bloke...many would say he was a legend.
Dad had so many interests including drawing, painting, collecting model vintage cars, reading and at the end of a hard day a pint in the pub before going home to settle in front of the telly.

In Dad's memory my family and I are fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who transferred him to the Hull Royal Infirmary.
The YAA do the most amazing job and its down to their service that many people lives are saved.  Dad was at the hospital within 90 minutes of the accident happening...this time includes the care he recieved from work collegues and the ambulance service.

***The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a life saving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across Yorkshire. We fly seven days a week, 365 days a year, covering a vast landscape that not only includes major cities and motor ways, but also rural and isolated locations.
To keep providing this life saving service the YAA charity needs to raise £7200 per day to keep both of Yorkshire's Air Ambulances maintained and in the air. The generosity that we receive is the life blood of the air ambulance charity and with out this generosity, we would not be able to provide the service that we are so proud of***

YAA Registered Charity No. 1084305.

My family and I have a number of ideas in the making for raising funds, Dad would have been 60 in May so we are holding a ''Remembering Ronnie'' event in our local village hall on Saturday 15th May 2010.
We are asking all our guests to bring along a bra or two to donate to the following appeal that the YAA are currently running....please see their website for more details.

All proceeds from my card sales will be going to the charity and I will also be holding some special blog candy draws.

Any donations will be so gratefully received.
